Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I’m not certain I can commit to multiple weekly meetings. Should I wait until my schedule is completely free?
A: The weeks don’t have to be consecutive. We can work around your schedule, within reason.
Q: I am married, do both of us need to be there?
A: It’s entirely up to you. Some couples delegate financial matters to one spouse, others choose to share that responsibility.
Q: I have a lot of debt, does it make sense to enroll in this program?
A: Yes. Together, we can discern the fundamental causes of your debt and create an effective plan to eliminate it.
Q: I realize I need to take charge of my financial life, but I just hate thinking about money matters. Can you help me get over this?
A: Learning to manage finances at groundingpoint is more interesting because it’s all about your money, your goals, your lifestyle and your happiness. While there’s no guarantee that at the end of the sessions you’ll love money matters, you will feel more confident and in control.
Q: I already work with a financial advisor/broker/insurance representative. Do I need groundingpoint too?
A: You might. One of the unique things about groundingpoint is that we have the certification of a financial planner, but don’t sell financial products. This ensures absolutely unbiased advice that you can compare with your other financial advisors.
